FOREST FARMERS

WHO WE ARE - a husband & wife team

Mari Creatini Bell

After completing a B.S. in Architecture, Mari became an Estimator where she has worked on commercial projects ranging up to $20 million. Problem solving and creative alternatives to provide client service has been part of that job. Back in 2009, however, in an effort to "become healthier" she was introduced to gardening and eventually to permaculture, which is a process of designing like nature (as in a balanced ecosystem). In 2016, she received her Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC) and in 2017 her Advanced PDC. For the better part of the last decade, Mari has been undergoing a transformation; one of continued learning and teaching, of preparation, and even of connections, especially with nature. At Bell Forest Farm, Mari is our lead farmer and designer of our ecosystems.

CJ Bell

CJ Bell spent his summers growing up as a helping hand for residential builders where he was exposed to hands-on building and rough carpentry as a trade. Since then, CJ has graduated with a B.S. in Construction Management working in Estimating, Purchasing, and most recently as a Project Manager on a variety of projects. When in 2015, CJ and Mari bought their property they now call Bell Forest Farm, it was CJ that drove the efforts of clearing, logging, and other timber processes and practices. CJ brings his craftsmanship with woodworking and his all-around skilled labor to the everyday farming needs.

At their wedding, Mari's brother summarized this pair so well:

"Mari's the Dreamer. CJ's the Builder."
